Merge branch 'dt/unpack-compare-entry-optim'

"git checkout $branch" (and other operations that share the same
underlying machinery) has been optimized.

* dt/unpack-compare-entry-optim:
  unpack-trees: fix accidentally quadratic behavior
  do_compare_entry: use already-computed path
