Merge branch 'jn/clean-use-error-not-fprintf-on-stderr'

Some error messages in "git config" were emitted without calling
the usual error() facility.

* jn/clean-use-error-not-fprintf-on-stderr:
  config: use error() instead of fprintf(stderr, ...)
