Merge branch 'jl/submodule-diff-dirtiness'

* jl/submodule-diff-dirtiness:
  git status: ignoring untracked files must apply to submodules too
  git status: Fix false positive "new commits" output for dirty submodules
  Refactor dirty submodule detection in diff-lib.c
