The code to compute the commit-graph has been taught to use a more

The index-pack code now diagnoses a bad input packstream that

"git rebase -i" (and friends) used to unnecessarily check out the
tip of the branch to be rebased, which has been corrected.

their abbreviated object name, which could become ambigous as it
